SDSF (z/OS) – Concepts and Operation Assessment 2.4

This assessment measures your general knowledge SDSF and contains questions that focus on accessing, starting, and stopping SDSF, as well as SDSF screen configuration. Questions relating to the use of the system log are also presented. It contains 45 questions that will take approximately one hour to complete, with the pass mark set at 70%.

This assessment is designed for data center staff responsible for monitoring batch or system activity, using SDSF.


This assessment covers the following topics:

  • Accessing SDSF
  • Methods used to interact with SDSF
  • Manipulating SDSF screen content
  • SDSF server operation
  • Accessing and interpreting log data

Assessment Detail

The types of questions in this assessment are mainly simulation, multiple choice, and drag and drop. The questions displayed are different for every examinee because a number of core questions are always selected along with a number that are taken from a pool of questions. All questions are then randomized to produce your customized assessment.

Pass Mark

The pass mark for this exam is 70%.
