Overview

This course describes today's data storage needs and the role of various DFSMS components in managing that data. It looks at data management rule creation and the role that DFSMShsm plays in ensuring sufficient space is made available.

Audience

This course is suitable for Operators, System Programmers, Storage Administrators and other staff who are responsible for monitoring and managing data storage in a z/OS environment.

Prerequisites

General knowledge of ISPF and z/OS data processing concepts.
